Kiota is the Swahili word for Nest:
A safe place, where little ones can be cared for and nurtured so that they can get their wings to fly. Kiota School is a child centered institution that prides itself with providing an environment where children thrive. At the core of our approach is the nurturing of Christian and Biblical principles aimed at raising well rounded children.
We seek to be the leading, innovative learning institution that nurtures young minds to make the world a better place.
This is enshrined in our school motto, Alte Vola, which means Flying High in Latin.
What we do?
Discover, nurture, inspire, challenge and develop.
Who we do it for:
Young minds.
How we do it:
Holistically. In a God fearing manner. To their fullest potential.
Kiota School offers the national curriculum through a progressive and integrated approach that borrows from different systems including Montessori and other international systems. This allows educators to use different proven methods to assist students achieve exemplary results in their learning process. All lessons are tailored to cater to the child’s physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social development needs.
We also offer the Cambridge Curriculum
As the world globalizes and the pressure for academic performance mounts, education must evolve but it must never sacrifice the child’s emotional, cognitive and social needs. Social and emotional wellbeing facilitates absorption of formally taught content. To this end, Kiota School believes in challenging students to excel not only in their studies, but also in their personal development beyond the classroom. We offer a wide range of co-curricular activities such as sports, dance, ballet, piano, taekwondo, skating among others to help grow the children holistically by developing their co-ordination and complex motor skills. In addition, the children enjoy study trips that expose them to real life situations and practical lessons. At Kiota, we believe in giving back to the community. Children are encouraged to participate in community service as part of school life. Parents and Staff are encouraged to also support CSR activities.
